LET'S BE CLEAR

There's no need to jump to conclusions after self assessing one hair loss. We lose hair on a daily basis so falling hair is quite normal! Indeed, a normal fall, for an adult, ranges between 30 and 60 hair per day. There's no need to worry when you recover tens of hair in the shower tub.

On the other hand, a strong variation in hair loss as well as a lightening of the hair on the frontal lobes and the vertex should alert you.

Some numbers :

  • A normal hair counts 100 000 to 150 000 hair.
  • The life span of a hair varies 2 to 7 years (capillary cycle): four to six years for the women and two to four years for the men.
  • The growth of a hair is of about 0,7 to 1,5 cm per month.
